August 13, 2012 (Monday)
This morning I was taking a nap and I was having some pains in the upper part of my tummy. Then I was getting ready to take a shower and all the sudden out of no where I felt like I was peeing. So I went to the bathroom and ⅓ of my Panty liner had mucus on it so I thought it might be the mucus plug. I called the doctor and they asked if more water was coming out, I said no because there hadn’t been. So they said everything was ok and not to worry.
Then we went to the doctors for my mom, found out she has a sinus infection. I told Aly, the nurse and Liz that I felt like I was leaking every now and then, that’s when they said when you leave here you need to go across the street(hospital) to get checked out. So we came to the hospital and they put us in a labor and delivery room at 11:45 a.m., then did several test to find out if my water had broken. Some came back negative and some positive. So Dr. Harrison finally told them to do the more expensive test to have a more accurate answer and that came back positive, so they said they are keeping me and we are going to get ready to have the baby. When I called Tavis to let him know the test came up positive that my water had broken, I started crying. I was thinking wow, this is really happening. Before they gave me medicine I was really hungry and was lucky ( they said) and was able to order some food (Honey nut scooters, vanilla yogurt and orange juice)
It’s 6:30 p.m. and Tavis is on the way up. I’ve been feeling like Ive been peeing on myself, not a comfortable feeling. We also just changed nurses

Christmas Vacation--I'm engaged!
I was so excited to go home for Christmas and see my family. Since moving out of the house a
Tavis Bennett flew to Texas to spend New Years Eve with me and my family. On New Year's Eve we traveled to Allen to attend the Reception of Theresa Reeves Mathews. It was so fun I was able to see Amanda Vermilyea and Andrea Mangum Uribe and some other people. Then on the way back Tavis said there was a game that he had for me to play, but first we had to pick something up. So we went to the store and the first one didn't have what he wanted, so we went to another one and he picked up a bag of cracker jacks. Then we went to Fairview Park, in Sherman, Texas.

He brought out his laptop bag and he picked one thing out at a time and told me I was supposed to guess what the item is from, with things that we have done while dating. So as he brought them out I guessed and required a hint or so. They were programs from plays we had been to, movie tickets, glow bracelets from dances, etc. Then he brought out a letter I had written him from when I invited him to be my date to Bree Parish's wedding, which I was a bride's maid for. While he read the letter I just started crying and there's where the tear works started. After that he brought out a cracker jack box. At that point, he suggested to have us walk and sit on a bench near by and I could open the box. So we went over to the bench and he sat on my left side, and I opened the box and in the prize paper there was a ring.
I asked him how he got the ring in there, he said just a minute I have some stuff to say first. Then he went on to say how it was great to have me as a friend, and wonderful to have me as a girlfriend, but would be an honor to have me as an eternal companion. He got up and moved down in front of me to my right side and knelt down and asked "will you marry me?" Of course I said YES! While I was crying I believe. :) That's me...tear works!
Then we went to my parents house and announced the good news.

Tavis Bennett
I have been dating Tavis for about five and a half months and it's been wonderful! He is the greatest guy. He is 34 yrs. old and from Oregon. He served his mission in Colombia, Spanish speaking. He loves chess, golf, tennis, astronomy, Rock Band and kids. He is planning on starting back to school to finish his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. He's a member of Top Coder and keeps track of the Marathons and matches that go on with that. I love to watch him make up the programs and get them to give him a good result, when he is doing the matches for Top Coder. He attends the chess club at BYU and really enjoys going there once a week to play chess with the other members.
I really enjoy the time we spend together. He has taught me a lot of new games, there's one card game called Fluxx and the rest are board games. On our second date we went to a ward date night at Brother Winter's house, at the time he was a member of our bishopric. It was so fun, we learned how to play farkle. We liked it so much that we play it a lot. We have gone roller skating, to watch a 3D Hubble movie(about Space), to the carnival, a Rodeo, to see the BYU Singers perform, and to see some movies. On Friday Tavis took me to the driving range and we practice our golf swings. It's the first time I had seen Tavis really hit a golf ball other than on X box PGA golf, so I was impressed to see how far he could hit it.

Substitute Teaching
On March 31st I substituted for my first day. It wasn't that bad. The day before I went and met the class and the teacher and she explained what the lessons plans were going to be for the next day. It helped me have some reassurance. The past three weeks I have been averaging substituting two days a week. It's really helped with money.! So far I have subbed for 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7/8th grade. I have been enjoying it so far! With going into Elementary Education, this has been giving me good practice for that.

When You Think It's Spring
Well, lately we all think that Spring is coming. Here in Utah every time we think it's turning to Spring, it snows again. It's crazy. Last night it was snowing and now it's sunny.

Kitchen Flooded
Yesterday I was cleaning my griddle after having eggs for lunch and the hot water stopped coming out of tap. At first I thought that maybe they were working on the water line, so I was about to look out the window to see if vehicles were out there to work on it. Then I heard a noise and realized it might be coming from under the sink.
So I opened the doors to the cabinet under the sink and saw that something was leaking. So I pulled everything out of under there trying not to get soaked in the process. I realized I NEEDED HELP!!! So I called my home teacher and he came straight over. While he was coming over I thought, um I need to get my boots on so my feet don't get soaked. The water was already flooding the kitchen floor and getting into the carpet. A few seconds after he came in the door, there was a knock at the door. I was thinking who could that be.
Well, it was our neighbor down stairs. She said what's going on? Apparently the water had gotten so bad that it was dripping from their light fixture in the dinning room(next to the kitchen) and between the ceiling and the side of the wall the water was gathering between the wall and the wall paper so they broke the wall paper to get the water out.
There is a room on the other side of the dinning room and the water was soaking her carpet too.
Along with that today I found out that the floor beneath them, it affected their carpet too. So CRAZY how water in my kitchen can affect both floors under me.
So today they cut some of the patting under our carpet out so the flooring under it can dry and then Friday they are planning on replacing it. I really hope that the flooring and the carpet dry out enough and don't start stinking. The guy that was working on it today said that the thing that makes it stink was the patting. Since that's gone it shouldn't stink, since it's only water from the kitchen and now sewer water. So hopefully they are right. So we have a huge fan going until Friday to get the carpet and the flooring that was under the patting dry.

First Time to drive in Utah Snow - in Provo
I got up this morning for church not realizing there was snow outside. Before I went outside my roommate said, " The ground is cover in snow", I said, "What?" When I went to bed it wasn't snowing. I called my mom and said please pray for me I have to drive to church in the snow. It wasn't too bad. I felt myself slip once, but I made sure I went slow the whole way.
I liked that when I was getting the snow off the car, all I had to do is brush it off. In Texas you have to scrap it off. It's dry snow in Utah my mom said. :)

Feels Like My World is Being Turned Upside Down
When I found out that MEMC is going to be closing, I didn't know what to think. Over the past years we have Thanksgiving and Christmas with the Robertson's. And when I left home I figured I would just go back to Texas during the Holidays from wherever I'm at and spend it with the Robertson's and my family. I've never been so close to a family before that's not blood related.
While waiting to find out if they have to move or not, for me it feels like wondering if the world is going to end tomorrow or not. I know this isn't how I should feel, but I feel like I'm being torn apart. I love my family, and the Robertson's. I want to spend holidays with them all. GRRR. I guess whatever the Lord has in store is what's best. But why does it have to be so hard. I want to know about the job situation, but at the same time I wish it would all go away and MEMC could stay in that town and keep going.

Thanks to My Dad!
I'm grateful for all the random things that my dad has stashed around the house. I'm not sure if I was out of it when I was packing at 1 a.m. or if my dad was just really nice and packed some random stuff for me that's helped. I noticed when I was unpacking that my duffel bag had some tares in it. Well I just happen to have in my bag a Mighty Mend it glue. It was just perfect for fixing the bag.
Years ago my dad got my mom, my sister and I all Ladies Tools. Well this weekend while my roommates family was here, our entertainment shelf fell down. The piece of wood on one side came out, because it wasn't secured. Well my roommates dad said, "If I just had a hammer and some nails I could fix that." I said," Well, I have a hammer and some nails." So I went and got my ladies tool set and he was able to fix the entertainment center. :) I was so proud of myself for being prepared. I must give some credit to my parents for that.
On that Saturday that we went to get Bree from Sandy, we were on the way back and we were trying to open root beer bottles with the metal caps. No one was able to open it and someone said only if we had a pocket knife. Hey, I said I have a pocket knife! So we used it to open the bottle! My dad is the one that gave me the pocket knife before I left home. Who says that girls aren't prepare for things!!! Apparently no one that knows my mom and I. LOL :)
Ok, this is all suppose to be about my dad, but I thought of a story that deals with my mom that I want to include. It's funny we would be with Aimee and she would ask for something and hey my mom would most likely have it in her purse. Then I would be with Aimee, without my mom and she would need something and ah, I would have it in my purse. She said you are your mother's daughter. :) And Proud of it.
Saved the City of Orem
On Saturday my friend Alicia, her son and I decided to go see the lights at City Center. We first went to eat dinner then went to City Center. We parked in the back and walked to the front of the buildings. When we got to the front of the buildings we saw the lights. One tree had a star at the top and the rest of it was lite with blue lights. We noticed that the blue lights were flickering and then they went out. After they went out we noticed that there was smoke coming from the bottom of the star and realized that the smoke was coming from a small fire. So Alicia called 911 to report. A few seconds after Alicia got off the phone the police arrived and shut the lights off on that tree, and right as we left the fire department came and as we drove away we noticed that the fire had gotten bigger.

Visit Temple Square with Christmas Lights
Black Friday
For years I have been getting up early to do Black Friday shopping with Aimee and my mom and sometimes The King. But this year I am in Utah so I didn't know if I was going to get the chance to go or not. I don't think I've ever bought anything, I just go for the fun of it to help Aimee and my mom. Since I haven't found a job yet, I did see somethings that I'd like to get but no money to get the stuff. So I wanted to go, but I didn't want to go and just walk around for nothing. So last night my friend Alicia called me and said she had looked at the ads and she found somethings that she wanted so she decided that she was going to go. I was so excited to hear that I was going to be able to keep the tradition that I've had (besides the time that I was on my mission).
Yesterday I asked my mom to call me when they were out. So I went to bed at 1 a.m. and my mom called me at 2:30 a.m. (3:30 a.m. her time). So I talked to her for a minute and went back to sleep for an hour, then got up at 3:30 to get ready and go over to Alicia's house. We went to Kohl's first and got a few things. In the middle of all the shopping I was talking to my mom. I found out that there was one thing that Aimee was going to get at Wal-mart, and we were going to go to Wal-mart anyway so I said I would look for it. While Alicia was walking around Kohl's to find something, she found the wonder colors and told me about it. So I went and it was the same thing that Aimee was looking for so I got it, was only $5.49. We ended up staying in line for about an hour.
As we approached the check out lines I noticed a friend of mine, Alan, that I hadn't seen for a while that I forgot worked there. We ended up at the register right in front of him, but I didn't say anything, because he was really busy checking customers out. But as he had a little break he said fine Angela don't say hi. I said, hey you were busy and I didn't want to distract you. It was nice to see him. So we checked out and headed to Wal-mart. At Wal-mart Alicia found out that the same things I got at Kohl's cost $7.49, so we were glad that we got them at Wal-mart!!
Only getting a few hours of sleep I was surprised that I was not more tired than I felt. I want to thank Alicia for helping me keep my Black Friday tradition.
Then later on today I went out shopping with my roommate Lisa and her family plus some friends. We ended up at Kohl's again and this time Alan, my friend checked us out. He was like hey again.

Thanksgiving
Today for Thanksgiving I watched the end of the Thanksgiving Parade, then I went shopping with my roommate, Lisa, her parents and Chelsey, my roommates friend. While shopping I taught my roommate that when your parents are in town and take you grocery shopping and they are walking down isles with you and suggesting you to get stuff, if you like the stuff and will eat it, TAKE IT! They are just trying to make sure you are stocked up with the things you need. I was thinking maybe I should have had my mom come here for Thanksgiving.
We had two carts full and when we got home everyone helped unload. After getting everything put away, Lisa and I helped her mom make two pumpkin pies.
I had thanksgiving Dinner with Alicia and her family. When I got there I helped her make the stuffing and the stuff to spread onto the ham. After Alex's parents and his brother and wife got there we went around and said what we were thankful for. Alex is from Peru so everyone besides Alicia and I speaks spanish. So during most of the conversation Alex was translating for me. Before we ate we went around to tell what each family was thankful for. Alicia went first for her family and Alex added some stuff, then his parents went and his brother. Then Alex was about to start with the food instead of having me go, but his sister-in-law spoke up and said what about Angie. So I started and said I was thankful for my family, and then started crying and getting emotional. I didn't realize until then, that I missed my family so much.
I'm so excited for the next time I get to see them. Despite the absence of my family and the Robertson's I had a pretty good Thanksgiving I would say! Thanks to Alicia's family and Lisa's family I didn't feel too alone today! I'm very grateful for these people in my life. When I don't have a chance to be with my family for a holiday, I have other people that just adopt me into there's for the time being. :) It has been nice!

Got my Retainer for my TMJ Syndrome!!!!! / First 2009 Utah snow on ground
This morning when I woke up at looked out the window, I thought Oh, No! I have to drive in the snow to my bishops house. Sister McGarr took her daughter Julia and I to get our retainers today. It makes me gage every now and then. Sometimes I have to slow down with my talking and calm myself down so that I don't gage. It makes my jaw a little sore, but I haven't had much pain that I normally have!!!
When I woke up this is what I saw out the window. I normally see mountains behind those buildings there.
Sorry about this picture I don't know what happened. It didn't look like this until I downloaded in onto here. This is what I saw out my window when I looked at the cars in the parking lot. When I saw this I knew I had to allow more time to get to my bishops house.
This is me with my retainer in.
This is me with my retainer.

Bottom view of retainer.
This retainer is working miracles! The Doctor that I'm going to is Dr. McMillian at TMJ Therapy in American Fork. I'm so grateful for this guy!
I first noticed pain about 3 years ago when going to my cousins wedding in New York with my mom. I was screaming in the airplane because is was in such severe pain. I went to two phyisicans and they are like no you don't have an ear infection. Then I went to an ENT doctor and they didn't know what was wrong either. They thought it might be allergies, so they did an allergy test, and I was so FURIOUS because I was not allergic to one thing and that was $1,000 out of my pocket. GRR So we were at lose of what to do. I was getting really irritating because I was in pain and didn't know what to do about it. We even tried chiropracitc and that fixed the pain for a few months then it came back and just got worse (not due to chiropractic) over time. When I went to Dr. McMillian, I was so relieved. Everything he said sounded right, I was like yep that's right that's the way I've been feeling. It was so nice to talk to someone that understood how I was feeling and finally someone that knew what to do for me to fix the problem.!!!!!
I even went to a wedding in New York after I started working for Wren Chiropractic and ended up going to a Chiropractor while I was in New York just to relieve the pain before I got on the airplane again.
