Lilliana's Birth

August 13, 2012 (Monday)

This morning I was taking a nap and I was having some pains in the upper part of my tummy.  Then I was getting ready to take a shower and all the sudden out of no where I felt like I was peeing. So I went to the bathroom and ⅓ of my Panty liner had mucus on it so I thought it might be the mucus plug.  I called the doctor and they asked if more water was coming out, I said no because there hadn’t been.  So they said everything was ok and not to worry.
Then we went to the doctors for my mom, found out she has a sinus infection.  I told Aly, the nurse and Liz that I felt like I was leaking every now and then, that’s when they said when you leave here you need to go across the street(hospital) to get checked out. So we came to the hospital and they put us in a labor and delivery room at 11:45 a.m., then did several test to find out if my water had broken.  Some came back negative and some positive.  So Dr. Harrison finally told them to do the more expensive test to have a more accurate answer and that came back positive, so they said they are keeping me and we are going to get ready to have the baby.  When I called Tavis to let him know the test came up positive that my water had broken, I started crying.  I was thinking wow, this is really happening.  Before they gave me medicine I was really hungry and was lucky ( they said) and was able to order some food (Honey nut scooters, vanilla yogurt and orange juice)
It’s 6:30 p.m. and Tavis is on the way up.  I’ve been feeling like Ive been peeing on myself, not a comfortable feeling.  We also just changed nurses
