Visit Temple Square with Christmas Lights

On Friday, November 27th My roommate Lisa's family, Lisa, some friends and I went to Temple Square to see the lights before her family had to go back home to California Saturday morning. We really enjoyed the lights and I don't think we could take enough pictures.LOL I was so excited to see the lights because it was my first time. I think it may have been the first time for all of us.

We thought it was pretty with the moon in the background.

Reflection of trees in the fountain in the middle of temple square.
The Star of Bethlahem.

This is Lisa, me and her sister enjoying the Christmas Lights on Temple Square.
Lisa's parents were kind enough to buy us all Hot Chocolate!!! It was really good.
This is one of the many nativities they had out there. I would have taken more pictures, but I was running out of memory.
We liked the tin can(or whatever they were) that they cut pictures into, this is of Christ if you can tell.
They had Christmas words put into these paper bags in different languages, I loved it!
This is of the sheperds.

Black Friday

For years I have been getting up early to do Black Friday shopping with Aimee and my mom and sometimes The King. But this year I am in Utah so I didn't know if I was going to get the chance to go or not. I don't think I've ever bought anything, I just go for the fun of it to help Aimee and my mom. Since I haven't found a job yet, I did see somethings that I'd like to get but no money to get the stuff. So I wanted to go, but I didn't want to go and just walk around for nothing. So last night my friend Alicia called me and said she had looked at the ads and she found somethings that she wanted so she decided that she was going to go. I was so excited to hear that I was going to be able to keep the tradition that I've had (besides the time that I was on my mission).

Yesterday I asked my mom to call me when they were out. So I went to bed at 1 a.m. and my mom called me at 2:30 a.m. (3:30 a.m. her time). So I talked to her for a minute and went back to sleep for an hour, then got up at 3:30 to get ready and go over to Alicia's house. We went to Kohl's first and got a few things. In the middle of all the shopping I was talking to my mom. I found out that there was one thing that Aimee was going to get at Wal-mart, and we were going to go to Wal-mart anyway so I said I would look for it. While Alicia was walking around Kohl's to find something, she found the wonder colors and told me about it. So I went and it was the same thing that Aimee was looking for so I got it, was only $5.49. We ended up staying in line for about an hour.

As we approached the check out lines I noticed a friend of mine, Alan, that I hadn't seen for a while that I forgot worked there. We ended up at the register right in front of him, but I didn't say anything, because he was really busy checking customers out. But as he had a little break he said fine Angela don't say hi. I said, hey you were busy and I didn't want to distract you. It was nice to see him. So we checked out and headed to Wal-mart. At Wal-mart Alicia found out that the same things I got at Kohl's cost $7.49, so we were glad that we got them at Wal-mart!!

Only getting a few hours of sleep I was surprised that I was not more tired than I felt. I want to thank Alicia for helping me keep my Black Friday tradition.

Then later on today I went out shopping with my roommate Lisa and her family plus some friends. We ended up at Kohl's again and this time Alan, my friend checked us out. He was like hey again.

Thanksgiving

Today for Thanksgiving I watched the end of the Thanksgiving Parade, then I went shopping with my roommate, Lisa, her parents and Chelsey, my roommates friend. While shopping I taught my roommate that when your parents are in town and take you grocery shopping and they are walking down isles with you and suggesting you to get stuff, if you like the stuff and will eat it, TAKE IT! They are just trying to make sure you are stocked up with the things you need. I was thinking maybe I should have had my mom come here for Thanksgiving.

We had two carts full and when we got home everyone helped unload. After getting everything put away, Lisa and I helped her mom make two pumpkin pies.

I had thanksgiving Dinner with Alicia and her family. When I got there I helped her make the stuffing and the stuff to spread onto the ham. After Alex's parents and his brother and wife got there we went around and said what we were thankful for. Alex is from Peru so everyone besides Alicia and I speaks spanish. So during most of the conversation Alex was translating for me. Before we ate we went around to tell what each family was thankful for. Alicia went first for her family and Alex added some stuff, then his parents went and his brother. Then Alex was about to start with the food instead of having me go, but his sister-in-law spoke up and said what about Angie. So I started and said I was thankful for my family, and then started crying and getting emotional. I didn't realize until then, that I missed my family so much.

I'm so excited for the next time I get to see them. Despite the absence of my family and the Robertson's I had a pretty good Thanksgiving I would say! Thanks to Alicia's family and Lisa's family I didn't feel too alone today! I'm very grateful for these people in my life. When I don't have a chance to be with my family for a holiday, I have other people that just adopt me into there's for the time being. :) It has been nice!

Got my Retainer for my TMJ Syndrome!!!!! / First 2009 Utah snow on ground

This morning when I woke up at looked out the window, I thought Oh, No! I have to drive in the snow to my bishops house. Sister McGarr took her daughter Julia and I to get our retainers today. It makes me gage every now and then. Sometimes I have to slow down with my talking and calm myself down so that I don't gage. It makes my jaw a little sore, but I haven't had much pain that I normally have!!!

When I woke up this is what I saw out the window. I normally see mountains behind those buildings there.
Sorry about this picture I don't know what happened. It didn't look like this until I downloaded in onto here. This is what I saw out my window when I looked at the cars in the parking lot. When I saw this I knew I had to allow more time to get to my bishops house.
This is me with my retainer in.
This is me with my retainer.

This retainer is working miracles! The Doctor that I'm going to is Dr. McMillian at TMJ Therapy in American Fork. I'm so grateful for this guy!
I first noticed pain about 3 years ago when going to my cousins wedding in New York with my mom. I was screaming in the airplane because is was in such severe pain. I went to two phyisicans and they are like no you don't have an ear infection. Then I went to an ENT doctor and they didn't know what was wrong either. They thought it might be allergies, so they did an allergy test, and I was so FURIOUS because I was not allergic to one thing and that was $1,000 out of my pocket. GRR So we were at lose of what to do. I was getting really irritating because I was in pain and didn't know what to do about it. We even tried chiropracitc and that fixed the pain for a few months then it came back and just got worse (not due to chiropractic) over time. When I went to Dr. McMillian, I was so relieved. Everything he said sounded right, I was like yep that's right that's the way I've been feeling. It was so nice to talk to someone that understood how I was feeling and finally someone that knew what to do for me to fix the problem.!!!!!
I even went to a wedding in New York after I started working for Wren Chiropractic and ended up going to a Chiropractor while I was in New York just to relieve the pain before I got on the airplane again.

Picking up Bree from Sandy

Yesterday Danny, Lisa and I left Provo to go pick up Bree (Lisa's and my other roommate) from work in Sandy. She's been staying at her sisters house in South Jordan because she has seizures daily so her sister wants her to stay there so she doesn't have to worry about driving to work or anything. Well, she's stay with us for the weekend so we went to pick her up and was planning on going there with one car and coming home with two cars.

On the way there it started snowing harder and snow starting gathering on the road, so I stopped on the side of the highway and let Danny take over because it was making me scared and nervous. He is an experienced driver in this weather so I felt better with him driving anyway. But we did find out that I need new windshield wipers. So I'm very grateful for Danny that he was with us and was able to take over! Thanks Danny.

On the way to Sandy we were trying to keep the window defogged. I was having to wipe the window every now and then for Danny so that he could see. This is the traffic on the way to Sandy.
This is the snow on the ground on the way to Sandy.
This is at Bree's sisters house in South Jordan. Lots of snow in the Salt Lake area.

On the way back Danny was so nice to us. There's a place he use to work that's kinda like a bakery and he was craving the food. So he bought all of us lunch on the way back.

BYU Homecoming Parade 2009

October 24th I went to the Homecoming Parade with Brooke, a friend of mine from my ward. I loved it, it was an hour long. That's right an hour, it was great!! It was pretty sad, I cried when the band went by. After being in the Marching band for 4 years in High School I miss it. I enjoyed getting to see all the floats that they had. They had a feiry float that reminded me of Pretty and they had the swingers (swing dancers) which I thoroughly loved!!!!

A friend of mine told me it started at 8 a.m. and so when my alarm went off I was like, umm I really want to see the parade, but I'm really tired too. So I just went back to sleep thinking that I was going to be missing it and lose my chance to see it. But then I got a text message from Brooke asking if I still wanted to go. Saying that it starts at 10a.m. and I was like SWEET I didn't miss it. This is great I still get to see a BYU Homecoming Parade. I was so happy.!!!! I was so grateful for the text message.:)

Another float that I really liked was the international students. There was a guy named Adam walking by the float but on the other side of the street then we were so I didn't get to get a picture of him. He is from New Zealand and was holding the New Zealand Flag. I didn't get all the pictures I wanted to because my camera only has the ability to hold 35 pictures, so I'll put on the pictures that I didn't get and let you enjoy!

I took these pictures because I thought my dad would really like them.
Yay!!! For the BYU Cougar Marching Band!

Flutes are the best!!!

This Pizza place is very good. While visiting Utah for a mission reunion one time I was hanging out with Faith (Smith/Sample) and one of her roommates mom's took us there to eat. So good.

I had to take a picture of the guy riding the pink motorbike
(whatever it's called). That's a real man for you!!!
Also I saw the little girl in the pumpkin outfit, so cute!!!

Go Ballroom dancers!!!

SWING DANCERS! IF I APPLY AND GET ACCEPTED
TO BYU I WOULD SO TRY TO DO THIS ONE!!!!

Guys doing stunt dancing I think.

Again I put this on for my dad!!!!
This reminded me of Pretty!!!!

New Zealand!!!! I don't know if you can see him, but the guy on the right side of the truck is holding a New Zealand flag. It's black and has a fern on it for the All Blacks, their Rugby team.

This is for Number One and the Beast!!!
This is also for Number One!!!

Some things I think you only see in Utah. I loved this one though!!! Go Adoption.

For all those Okies out there. Dad and those people in Texas who root for them.
